The small town of Grasses is about 18 km / 11 miles inland from Cannes, making it an ideal day trip from nearby Cannes. Famous for the manufacture of perfume, Grasse has long been a popular tourist destination. Indeed, there are over thirty perfumeries in Grasse today, including those belonging to Fraginard, Galimard and Molinard, along with the Musée International de la Parfumerie (Perfume Museum). Grasse also has an interesting old town where visitors can enjoy a stroll around the winding narrow streets and alleyways, and explore its many historic attractions.
