An excellent excursion outside of Paris is to Claude Monet's breathtaking gardens in Normandy. His unique house, the quaint villages of Vernon and Giverny and our fabulous bicycle ride along the Seine are a welcome change from the hustle-bustle of Paris. Monet’s Gardens – imagine stepping into the canvas of your favorite Monet painting. Beautiful flowers, the Japanese Bridge and the famous water lilies await you.
Monet’s House – visit the inside of Monet’s house to see where he lived and his fascination with Asian art.
Vernon Farmer’s Market – purchase fruit, meat, honey, bread and drinks directly from their makers.
Picnic – a beautiful park along the Seine with the vieux moulin just off the bank. Relax in the grass or take a seat at a picnic table while you enjoy your meal.
Monet’s Grave – Monet is buried along with his family at the small Giverny church.
Bike Ride – a 5km ride on a bike path nestled between the bluffs and the Seine River.
